Small Groups help people develop friendships and build relationships with each other and God.

At Antioch House people come together in small groups to support and encourage one another through the good times and hard times that we all experience in life.

This is a great place to come and learn more about the Bible and discuss different topics with each other.

Everyone can be part of a small group so whether you are new to Antioch House or have already been coming along there is a group for you.

Have a look at the group's listed under "Find a Group" and find one near you. We have home groups, KYB groups, G-Men and G-women groups.

We are looking forward to meeting you there!

Today, many people think discipleship is only for the few, the brave, the select, but this is not the Master’s attitude.

When Jesus chose disciples, He wasn't looking for models; He was looking for real people.

He chose people who could be changed by His love, and then He sent them out to communicate that His acceptance was available to anyone - even to those whose lives are marked by failure.
We may wonder what Jesus sees in us when He calls us to be His disciples. But we must believe that Jesus accepts us, and, in spite of our humanity, can use ordinary people just like you and me to do His extraordinary work. We must understand that discipleship, from salvation to glorification, is by God’s grace through faith.

In order to function within the body it is essential that people learn their part and begin to activate the gifts God has given them.

The Apostle Paul told Timothy “to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you”. NIV (2 Tim 1:6-7)

The Church is the body of Christ and it has been commissioned and equipped by God to fulfill its purpose in our community.

Every part and person need’s to be involved and when we all come together and do our part our effectiveness is much greater.

We see in 1 Cor 12:12 that God has placed within one body many parts and as each part functions we can reach out effectively to the many different types of people living in our cities.

God creates people that are unique, and different and diverse to each other. This enables us to be able to reach out to everyone, even the people that may not yet believe in the same values. However many people want to come along to a home group to check out as to whether we live out what we say we represent.

So as we are all different it is important to nurture and appreciate diversity and develop different groups to reach out and reflect the community it that it’s planted.

When Jesus said in Matthew 22:14 “For many are called, but few are chosen”.

This is referring to the few that are willing to lay down their lives to serve others in their community.

In order to help others and serve others we need take ownership of our roles.

Within the life of Antioch House there are many roles that need to be fulfilled and these should be done collectively as a group rather than any one or two individuals.

Like any growing family there are many things that need to be done around the house.

This includes all the work we do outside our house to serve our community through the many different charities and groups we are involved in.

When people take ownership they will take the initiate to find ways to help carry the load and see others helps and blessed as they are.
